"Waking up early offers powerful spiritual, mental, and physical benefits. The quiet pre-dawn hours support deeper meditation, clearer thinking, hormonal balance, and a stronger connection to purpose and meaning. When practiced intentionally, early rising becomes a sacred ritual that aligns you with nature, enhances creativity, and brings lasting fulfillment to daily life."
Why I shifted from late nights to sacred early mornings in my mid-twenties
In my mid-twenties, my life was very simple, and very empty.
I was tired of waking up exhausted. My face was puffy, my energy depleted, and I constantly felt as though I had already missed the day before it even began. I wasn’t accomplishing anything of real value, and I could feel my life quietly slipping by with nothing meaningful to show for it.

When the Excitement Faded and Something Was Missing
Living in New York City was exhilarating. As a young model, my life was filled with events, invitations, and excitement. I was constantly out, constantly surrounded by people, constantly chasing the next experience.
I worked as a model and actor, and during slower seasons I waitressed, eventually becoming a bartender where I made significantly more money in far less time.
Yet despite the fast pace and the income, I knew something was deeply wrong.
I had a diploma in hospitality, and the restaurant industry was technically my career path but I knew, without question, that I didn’t want to still be doing this past the age of thirty. The thrill eventually faded, and I realized I had nothing to show for all those late nights.
I wasn’t just financially barren in the long term, I felt spiritually bankrupt.
I knew I needed to change my life, but I had no idea how, or even what that change should look like.

Everything shifted when I began attending yoga classes.
Slowly, quietly, something inside me started calling me to wake up earlier. It wasn’t discipline at first it was a need. Spirit was calling me, and for the first time in my life, I was answering.
I had done everything the big city had to offer. And it had become painfully clear that none of it was fulfilling, nor was it leading to a sustainable career or meaningful income. Looking back now, I can see how ignorant I was about money, investing, and long-term goals. I lived entirely in the moment, enjoying the high life, being invited everywhere. In a big city, young women are always wanted.
But yoga saved my life.
Yoga grounded me. It gave me direction. It slowly guided me toward earlier mornings and deeper purpose. I was craving substance, meaning, and spirituality, a life infused with spirit rather than distraction.
The drive behind waking up early
The drive behind waking up early was never productivity. It was spiritual fulfillment.
I began rising at dawn to practice yoga, pranayama, divination before facing the world and heading to work. When I followed this rhythm, my life began to straighten out.
I felt happier.
More in tune with the universe.
I had a reason to be, a reason to live.
I discovered a community I deeply resonated with, and I knew I was exactly where I belonged. For the first time, my life felt meaningful.
Once a week, I joined a group of dedicated yogis for a 2.5-hour spiritual practice that included chanting and asana.

I would wake up at 3:00 a.m. to arrive by 3:30, practicing until 5:30 a.m., then head home to shower, eat breakfast, and leave for work by 7:30.
Those were always joyful days, deeply fulfilling, grounded, and alive.
The rest of the week, I practiced at home, waking up at 4:00 or 4:30 a.m. for my own 2.5-hour spiritual ritual before work.
Everything began falling into place. I felt lucky, aligned, and supported, because I was finally doing what I knew, deep inside, I was meant to do.
This is when I truly understood how rewarding early mornings are, especially for those who desire closeness with God.
This, I believe, is the deeper purpose of human life; whether we recognize it or not, whether we have been consciously called or not.
When we wake up very early, the world is quiet. The noise of humanity is almost nonexistent. This is when a mystical energy becomes available, a subtle opening where the divine feels closer.
These sacred pre-dawn hours are often called the ambrosial hours. It's a time when God’s kingdom reveals itself just a little more clearly.
If life feels dull, if you feel disconnected, depressed, or spiritually thirsty, I gently invite you to try waking up early, not out of force, but with true purpose.
Spirituality brings meaning back into our lives.

6 Reasons to Wake Up Early for Spiritual, Mental, and Physical Well-Being

1. Sacred Silence: The Spiritual Power of Early Morning Stillness
The early hours are free from distractions, offering a rare opportunity for quiet contemplation, meditation, or prayer. This silence fosters deeper connection with the divine and clarity of thought.
2. Prime Time for Energy Alignment and Yoga Practice
Morning hours align with nature's rhythms, making it an ideal time for practices like yoga or pranayama to balance your body, mind, and spirit before the day begins.
These early hours are also called the embrosial hours; because during that still time of silence we can make a better connection with the divine and find bliss, extasy, ultimately Samadhi.
3. Heightened Creativity and Mental Clarity in the Early Hours
When you wake up early, your mind is refreshed and unburdened, making it easier to access inspiration and new ideas, whether for spiritual writing, journaling, or problem-solving.
4. An Intentional Start to Your Day with Purpose and Devotion
Waking up early allows time to set intentions, practice gratitude, or visualize the day ahead, cultivating a mindset of purpose and positivity.
The early hours of your day are meant to be given to our creator, to the Divine, to something bigger than ourselves. In return we receive this heightened creativity mentioned above, it clarifies our purpose in life, and clears the cobwebs in our third eye.
